TYLER PERRY: THE FAMILY THAT PREYS.

Tyler Perry continues his brillant writing and directing in this movie, it has a veteran cast of actors such as Alfre Woodared, Cathy Bates, and Rockmund Dunbar, after seeing this movie I said this is a “powerful movie” the story is totally different from anything I’ve seen. Tyler has a way of making human stories hit hard, I compare it to throwing cold water on your face, after seeing the story you will understand fullly what I am saying. The story of infidelity has always been a popular story to tell, but I must say it has never been told like this, the seduction of wealth, prestige and lust make’s it’s way through this movie, also the story of true friendship that never dies and stands the test of time also is told in this brillant movie. I highly suggest you go see it, well done on all fronts.

ON A SCALE OF ONE TO FOUR SHOT GLASSES WE GIVE IT :

 LAKEVIEW TERRACE

Sam Jackson does it again, there are a few words that I would like to use about this movie, words like intimadating, racist, mentally ill, and psycho all describe “Abel Turner” (played by Jackson) in this latest thriller starring Sam Jackson, you are made to feel uncomfortable like you are not a welcomed guest, Abel Turner is a cop with a bad attitude, with a keen  killer insinct. Jackson draws you into this deep character who has lost his wife, and obviously lost a handle on reality. There is nothing worse then living next door to a neighbor you don’t like, well that’s the premise of this movie, Abel Turner does not approve of the new neighbors relationship, and he let’s them know in his own special way. Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington play a young interacial couple who have just bought there first home in the hills of L.A., nice home with a swimming pool (hope they didn’t go thru WaMu) everything is great until they meet there neighbor, Abel Turner then all hell breaks lose. On a scale of 1-4 shots we give Lake View Terrace:

 3-SHOTS!

Tyler Perry Presents…..”Madea Goes to Jail”

madea-goes-to-jail-lineup2

Tyler Perry continues with his winning formula with the current release “Madea Goes to Jail”, if you’re a Tyler Perry fan then chances are you have already seen the stage play for “Madea Goes to Jail” well let me tell you there are some extra added twist in the movie, but I must say they all blend in quite well. Tyler has a way with his stories, he makes you laugh, he draws you in with the drama, then he hits you with a powerful moment that pulls at your emotions, this movie contained all the above elements, so get ready for the roller coaster ride, and hold on to you’re F**kin Hat!!!!

………Now you have to admit, when you first saw the previews for this movie you were probaly thinking to yourself that this movie is all about Beyonce’, not true the true stars of this movie are Idris Elba and Ali Larter, these two actors stole the show. Larter’s portrayal of an obessive office temp(Lisa) was very well written and performed, and Elba’s character (Derrick) was a very intresting as a devoted husband who gets caught up in situation that almost ruins his life. The sexual tension beween Derrick and Lisa heats up the screen, but does he take a bite of the apple?….you will have to see for yourself. On a scale of 1-4 shots we give it………
