U.L.O…… 4 Cool People
Hello everybody these are 4 people who are cool…..really cool check em out!!

Marsha-Marsha-Marsha
…….she is so cool you have to say her name 3 times Marsha “The Songstress”Ambrosius, she was one half of the funky duo Floetry……notice I said was…..the group reportedly broke up sometime ago, but Marsha continues to move forward….she is one of the best kept secrets in the music industry……..her credits include singing and writing songs with artist such as Macy Gray,Alicia Keys,Jazmine Sullivan,Outkast, Jamie Foxx,Justin Timberlake…..and even the great one Micheal Jackson…..that was her voice on Butterflies…..actually it was her song Mike liked it and wanted to use it and the rest is history, be on the look-out for her new album coming out hopefully really soon……

The Magnificent
…….he is the hottest rapper in the game right now his name Rick Ross…..it kind of just rolls of the tongue….Rick Ross…Mr. Ross has no doubt the best rap album of the summer, and if you talk to some hip-hop fans they will say his latest album “Deeper than Rap” is a classic……I have to agree….it’s the only rap album I have really enjoyed this summer, actually it’s probably going to end up as best rap-album of the year….Ross is very gifted when it comes to lyrics and clever metaphors….and some good beats don’t hurt either….if you are a fan of rap then this is definitely an album you need in your collection…..

A splash of Color
……David Bromstad is his name and color is his game…….he is the host of HGTV’s “Color Splash”…….this guy is very talented and in my opinion has the best show on HGTV, he has a knack for putting together some really incredible vibrant designs…..Mr. Bromstad is an artist, and he displays his talents by creating original art-work for each episode, whether it’s a table with 5 legs or a huge mural of a goose, he knows how to make it blend in and stand out!!…I wish he would re-do my place….

Hello Family
………some would say he is single handily keeping radio alive…..grown folk topics and grown folk conversations that is what you will find on “The Micheal Baisden Radio Show”…..he keeps his audience on their toes with his quick witt and his brash style of comedy……his sidekick Mike Willboughn will leave you in stitches, they are a match made in radio heaven….Mr. Baisden is also a very talented and successful writer, he has several popular books, and two of them have been turned into stage plays….eventually they will no doubt hit the big-screen one day….wait there’s more he is also a host of a late night talk show on the TV-One Network……it’s self-titled…. and I have to say I have even enjoyed watching the re-runs because the topic of conversation is always provocative, and the musical guest are always very special!

10 Things I learned about Shalamar!!
Finally the TV One special about the group Shalamar aired, and I have to say I learned some interesting things about the group……..
10. Shalamar started off with just having session singers from LA
9.They went through a phase where they were known as just a Disco group
8.Howard Hewitt was the 3rd lead singer, eventually there would be a 4th
7.Jeffery Daniels created the Backslide (AKA the Moonwalk)
6.Howard Hewitt & Jody Watley just never really hit it off, Jody felt disrespected most of the time
5.Shalamar was huge overseas, actually sold out Wembely Stadium in the U.K.
4.Howard Hewett had a huge ego
3.Jeffery Daniels and Jody Watley actually dated
2.Jody Watley felt pressure from the group to not have her first child
1.There will probably never be a Shalamar re-union

Toast 2 Shalamar!!

U.L.O Thank You Letter III

Robert Guillaume
………sometimes in life you have to say thank you to the people who help capture and cultivate your imagination….
Dear Mr. Guillaume,
I must say when it comes to acting I feel that you are one of the best, you have entertained millions with you’re classic distinguished acting style, the old re-runs of Soap and Benson still make us laugh(especially when you’re on the screen) to this very day. The movie Lean on Me and The Lion King were truly two of your most memorable roles for me when it came to movies. I will never forget your role as Isacc Jaffee in “Sports Tonight” it was brilliant and gutsy, your singing voice strong and powerful was dynamic in ” Phantom of the Opera”, your portfolio of work and your invaluable lessons of courage should always be recognized by future artist.

Toast to Mr. Guillaume

- Classic
….sometimes in life you have to say thanks while people are still here to accept your thanks…….I want to say thank you to Lena Horne
Dear Lena Horne,
Hey hope all is well, I just wanted to say I wasn’t alive to experience your breakthrough in Hollywood, but I really admire the spirit and determination you have, these young women off today can really learn something from your experiences. I feel sad that you were blacklisted in the 50′s, and that MGM didn’t have the courage to cast you in more movies, I feel the world has been robbed, but the work you have out is considered classic in my book. One of my favorite movies of yours is “Death of a Gunfighter” interesting movie,we can’t forget about “The Wiz”, your special appearances on The Cosby Show, Different World, and even Sesame Street will go down as classic moments in television history.

Toast to Lena Horne
….an EVIL car spirit haunted me today
I think the spirit of my 1984 Ford Tempo was haunting me today, driving to work today I saw 3…count em’….3 Old Ford Tempos in a matter of 45 minutes….. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, I saw one while waiting at stop light , it was pulling out of 76 gas station, it actually looked decent only because it was clean and had nice white wall tires that matched with the nice white paint of the car, I kind of laughed to myself and thought who would still be driving a 84 Ford Tempo, I assume it was an 84 ‘ because it looked exactly like the one I used to drive, except mine was Burgundy, but anyway I continued on down the street stopped at a local cash machine, now while I was doing my transaction I noticed another Ford Tempo driving through the parking lot, I said to myself are you kidding me, another Ford Tempo no way, this one was a burgundy 2-door, mine was a burgundy4-door but it still had the same look, that same crap on wheels look that those cars had, at this point in time all kind of “Evil Ford Tempo” memories came flashing back to me (cue Kayne)…. for some weird reason this car would would die every time I would go down a hill, every single time!…. I soon realized Seattle has a lot of hills, then I remembered I got into my first car accident in that 84 Ford Tempo, ooh man the memories were all coming back , I could actually feel some old anger creeping up in me, that car cost me so much money so much heart ache, and so much frustration I will never forget that car…..so I arrive at work, I’m there a little early so I go into the break room, there’s a couple people in there drinking coffee and talking on the cell phones, so I sit down and an old rerun of Seinfeld is on tv, George Castanza is screaming at the top of his lungs about something , so I’m watching and then all of a sudden this pops up on the tv screen………

- Oh come on
