U.L.O Thank You Letter II

Young King
…………sometimes in life you have to say thanks while people are still here to accept our thanks……..I want to say thank you to B.B. King
Dear B.B. King
Thank you, for sharing your incredible talent with the world, when it comes to Blues or excuse me…”The Blues”… the first person to come to mind is you, it’s funny because I actually didn’t like your music as a child (keep in mind I was a child) I always felt that it was grown up music, that’s what the adults play, but as I got older and really started to understand music and appreciate musicianship I really started to understand what you and other blues musicians were talking about, it actually opened me up to a new genre of music, even though it has always been there for me I just didn’t pick it up, but when I really think about it, I just wasn’t ready for “The Blues”. I was shocked when I found out your hit song “The Thrill is Gone” was actually a hit way back in 1951,but you put your stamp on that song forever making it yours. Mr B.B. King we thank you for sharing your special gift with us…..tell Lucille we said hi & thanks.

U.L.O Thank You Letter

- Classic
….sometimes in life you have to say thanks while people are still here to accept your thanks…….I want to say thank you to Lena Horne
Dear Lena Horne,
Hey hope all is well, I just wanted to say I wasn’t alive to experience your breakthrough in Hollywood, but I really admire the spirit and determination you have, these young women off today can really learn something from your experiences. I feel sad that you were blacklisted in the 50′s, and that MGM didn’t have the courage to cast you in more movies, I feel the world has been robbed, but the work you have out is considered classic in my book. One of my favorite movies of yours is “Death of a Gunfighter” interesting movie,we can’t forget about “The Wiz”, your special appearances on The Cosby Show, Different World, and even Sesame Street will go down as classic moments in television history.

Toast to Lena Horne

Beavers, Donkeys and Co-Workers??
……..The good thing about having a blog is that sometimes after a hard day of work you can come home and vent via the blog, the co-workers I work with are how do you say it …..weird,anal,and spoiled. I work for a certain warehouse chain…….(let’s just say you can buy huge amounts of toilet paper and tuna fish in bulk) well anyway there is this one particular guy who I have been working with for over 10 years now, and he has been a (insert your favorite derogatory name here) since day one, I just don’t understand this guy, he is rude to everyone, he has been known to sabotage the work of others, he is just one of those people who sucks the life out of a room……or a warehouse, the thing that bothers me the most is that upper management can’t catch this guy doing anything wrong, even though they have their suspicions, this guy has been there for 13 years and they still can’t pin anything on him, the best way to describe this guy is to compare him to Eddie Haskal from “Leave it to Beaver”, when management is around he is laughing and joking with them , but as soon as they turn their backs he is just a complete ass to all his fellow co-workers, we have complained and went to the “uppers” (as we like to call them) but to no avail they never seem to witness any of his devious behavior. This guy has frustrated so many co-workers for years, that pretty much everyone avoids him like the plague, but as of today I decided to just let all my anger and frustration go with this post, and actually just by typing this post I already feel good……….oh by the way here is a picture of my co-worker…..

My Co-Worker
Ahh I actually feel better now!! …….you should try it!!

…………hey check out this interesting clip, this is one of those movies that will tug at your heart ….. and yes that is Mariah Carey
….an EVIL car spirit haunted me today
I think the spirit of my 1984 Ford Tempo was haunting me today, driving to work today I saw 3…count em’….3 Old Ford Tempos in a matter of 45 minutes….. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, I saw one while waiting at stop light , it was pulling out of 76 gas station, it actually looked decent only because it was clean and had nice white wall tires that matched with the nice white paint of the car, I kind of laughed to myself and thought who would still be driving a 84 Ford Tempo, I assume it was an 84 ‘ because it looked exactly like the one I used to drive, except mine was Burgundy, but anyway I continued on down the street stopped at a local cash machine, now while I was doing my transaction I noticed another Ford Tempo driving through the parking lot, I said to myself are you kidding me, another Ford Tempo no way, this one was a burgundy 2-door, mine was a burgundy4-door but it still had the same look, that same crap on wheels look that those cars had, at this point in time all kind of “Evil Ford Tempo” memories came flashing back to me (cue Kayne)…. for some weird reason this car would would die every time I would go down a hill, every single time!…. I soon realized Seattle has a lot of hills, then I remembered I got into my first car accident in that 84 Ford Tempo, ooh man the memories were all coming back , I could actually feel some old anger creeping up in me, that car cost me so much money so much heart ache, and so much frustration I will never forget that car…..so I arrive at work, I’m there a little early so I go into the break room, there’s a couple people in there drinking coffee and talking on the cell phones, so I sit down and an old rerun of Seinfeld is on tv, George Castanza is screaming at the top of his lungs about something , so I’m watching and then all of a sudden this pops up on the tv screen………

- Oh come on

Tie (Ty) goes to the stalker…..?
…..we have all heard of the old baseball phrase “Tie goes to the runner” well in this case “Ty” goes to the stalker. Three of Hollywood’s brightest stars all have something in common, they have all been stalked, Tyler Perry, Tyra Banks, and now actor/singer Tyrese, we here a U.L.O are wondering is this a weird co-winky dink, or is this some new form of stalking?……..If I were Tyson Beckford I’d be worried right about now……maybe Hollywood stars should really reconsider using Twitter.
